When Rose comes and pounds on Sam's door for assistance one evening, Sam 
responds by hiding her.  She doesn't want to know if Rose actually stole the 
drugs or not, and doesn't really care at this point.  What she is interested 
in is getting Rose to take better care of herself, get her out of the gang 
lifestyle, and into something less dangerous.

Upshot of this is:  Sam takes Rose in, will fight off any gang members that 
are stupid enough to try and come and get Rose, and then will sit Rose down 
and have a chat with her about what she wants to do with her life.  And then 
she'll work on getting Rose set up in whatever she wants to do...  Not sure 
if you want me to tell you what she would want to do, or if I should choose 
that.  But that is essentially what happens.
