PC Contacts
One of Pierce's contacts. (Government - connected). Bienhoff is the core
of the patronage-rife and corrupt Transport division of the Los Angeles
Basin Reclamation Authority. Though he holds little technical authority,
Bienhoff has instant access to a great deal of information on what the
Authority is doing in the field of transport and plenty of information on
the state of transportation in LA at any time. He was very interested in
helping Pierce with his documentary about the alley-surfers of Tidalay.
One of Pierce's contacts. (Orgotek - unconnected). Matt, a perennial
water-cooler cubicle-dweller writes ad copy for Orgotek Farms' biotech
products, a thankless but necessary job, especially in the anti-biotech
atmosphere of the FSA. He helped Pierce out when both were working for
Orgotek, and lives in a fine apartment high-rise in Dryalay.
One of Pierce's contacts. (Aeon Trinity - unconnected). Val was Pierce's
PR "handler" when he was restoring and in some cases reshooting old
flatvids for Aeon's Project Rewrite. She hasn't gone much farther than
that since they parted ways, but seems to enjoy it pretty well.
One of Pierce's contacts. (subculture - connected). George (pictured
here at a dolphin fight down in a Tidalay arena) hears everything in his
skimcab and across his portable OpNet connection and was Pierce's guide to
the underside of Tidalay life. He has some shady connections that Pierce
doesn't quite want to know about, but is an enthusiastic partier and a
great cabbie.
One of Zeke's contacts. (ISRA - connected). Pictured here at the far
right, Professor Trisha Allen has technically left ISRA for her work on
the Clear Skies Jumpship Guidance Referral Service, Inc., which serves to
match up clairsentient pilots with ships and corporations that need their
services. However, she has kept her hand in ISRA a great deal, including
many trips to the moon to help train new clairsentients and keeping in
contact with a great number of ISRAns, so as to be able to keep on top of
the market. In this picture, she and a client go over the departure
schedule of a jumpship from the Corporate Platform landing bays.
One of Pierce's contacts (police - connected),
Chelquist has survived about three dozen administrative re-alignments,
been promoted up and down, transferred left and right, and probably should
have retired years ago. But he's still around with a story for every
occasion.
One of Pierce's contacts (subculture - unconnected).
Millstone is the given nameof this acoustic artist whose work involves the
alteration of watermusic. Spoken of in hushed tones by Tidalay natives,
Millstone's work brings him into conflict with the musical navigators and
sometimes has unwanted social effects - like all artists, though, he
continues with it.
One of Pierce's contacts (legal, government,
lightly-connected), and his attorney, Bartolino was referred to him by Val
Adams to deal with his legal troubles.
Staff Sergeant March, a former front-line soldier, is now a Legion
mid-level manager who is good friends with Talia. She'd rather still be on
active duty, but is not allowed, for health reasons, to do so. Thus she
is very happy to avoid doing more datawork and sit and gossip with Talia.
One of
Zeke's contacts (Legion, connected), this enthusiastic young psychokinetic
has had several tours of duty with the Legion and is an excellent
organizer of operations in conjunction with Aeon Trinity. This picture
shows her at a more young, polished age, graduating from the Academy.
Mel Howard, an ISRA clairsentient interstellar jumpship pilot, referred
to Zeke (and subsequently somewhat charmed by him) by the Professor. She
helped monitor Millstone for the team and is on R&R in the Basin.
