Gordon hms and nods, "Though we have slowed him down, we've done all we can." Sarah's head quickly spins to the voice, as her eyebrows narrow down. She remains quietly, before turning back to Jim, gaze asking if she should leave. Gordon looks to Sarah and shakes his head, saying it's alright. The Dark Knight Detective seems to form from the substance of the darkness, the light growing in patches over spots of dark muscle and cape. He doesn't seem to notice Sarah, and tilts his head. "Christiansen...in custody?" Sarah's hands move from each side of her, as she crosses her arms over her chest, one corner of her mouth drifting up, a half-snarl, before straying back into a line, as she barely nods once to Gordon. She shifts on the desk, remaining silent. Gordon nods to Batman "For now, under aiding a known fellon, conspiracy, robber, perjury, to name a few." Frowning, the Batman gives a slow dip of his head in assent. "Was he able to offer any leads on Joker's whereabouts?" He shifts his cape over his left shoulder, the rest hanging at an angle across his right side. Gordon says "We found the transmitting equipment the Joker used. Along with a phone. A trace on the line showed that the Joker and Christiansen had been in contact, but that was only at the time of the robbery. Acording to Christiansen the money was then to be transfered into an account. We were able to delay that transaction, though some money may have slipped through. We'll continue the search, but it's all we can do for now." Sarah's leg uncrosses, dropping so both hang down over the edge of the desk. She takes a slight breath, letting it out slowly. Her head turns, regarding the Dark Knight, as Jim speaks. Her expression, a quiet neutral, she speaks through clenched teeth. "Christiansen was heavily in debt, he needed the money, thus he went into business, as it were, with the Joker." Batman crosses an arm across his waist, resting the elbow of another dark gauntleted arm against it as he presses a finger to his lips. He listens with silent attentiveness, his ears seeming to quiver in thought. You say "...Did Joker recieve any profits already, or can we assume he's relying on his stores around town for now?" Sarah's head tilts to one side, her gaze on Batman, a curious expression in her eyes, before letting it drop back to neutral. "As far as we can figure, someone was able to get around a hundred thousand dollars, before the accounts were put on hold." You say "I see." Gordon nods slowly "Though that amount is somewhat livable when it could have been millions." Batman glances at Gordon. "'Livable'? Hm. Its a lesser evil, Gordon, but any gain for the Joker is a loss for us." Sarah's mouth twists. "We can only assume it was the Joker, at the present we have no proof of that. Though all leads make us believe it is him." She narrows her eyes slightly, hands running through her hair a bit, before dropping down to rest on each side of her. Gordon hms and nods "The Joker's plans have been stalled, at least we can count on that. And we will have him again /soon/" Batman shifts his stance, his head angled down as he speaks. "I want to be involved in this search, Jim. More so than I was on this case." His tone, while commanding, has the lilt of a request at the end. Sarah's mouth twists into a scowl, she forces herself to remain quiet, to trust Jim. She doesn't like it, every single emotion screaming to tell him to get lost, though she simply turns her head, glancing opposite. Gordon nods slowly, knowing Sarah may think differently he says "Your help is always appreciated." Batman thinks . o O (Bad timing, Bruce. Had to be said, though.) Sarah's hand clenches on the desk, she forces out a soft breath, letting it back in, then out again. When she glances back around, her face is once again neutral, though her mouth is set into a straight, firm line. Nodding stiffly, the Caped Crusader stands back up, straightening his stance, almost like an officer requesting orders from the front. "I'm going to begin sweeping the usual ratholes. Expect some special deliveries. And a few trashed bars." Sarah thinks . o O (Great.) Gordon smirks ever so slightly and nods Sarah thinks . o O (Masked vigilantes, wrecking up Gotham, no better than the trash.) Batman eyes Sarah now, pointedly. "I'll leave the majority of the wrap up to you, Commissioner. But next time...if you have the Joker cornered, call me." Sarah doesn't bother to even disguise her expression, as she turns her intense blue eyes on Batman. Her mouth set into a scowl. She narrows those eyes, her body rigid, posture stating only too well how much she dislikes this man. Sarah thinks . o O (Meddling in Police affairs.) Gordon hms "We will do what's right for the job, of course." Batman thinks . o O (I'm only creating more tension. Better cut this short.) Batman gives a stoic nod of agreement with the Commissioner. "You shouldn't worry about Nightwing or Night Hunter interfering in your business now, either, Jim." Gordon raises a brow "I see... good news then." Batman turns back to the shadows near the window, cape trailing after him in a low train. "Yes. For both of us." For a briefest of moments, a slight expression of shock crosses over Sarah's face. . o O(What did he off them? Am I going to suddenly find two dead unknown John Does in the river?) Before she mentally shakes her head, smirking. . o O(Interesting..wonder what occurred..) Her gaze remains on Batman, none of her thoughts crossing over too much into her face, eyes still intense and watching his every word. Batman turns, face shadowed in the space of the open window. "Joker's spree is over as of this night." He intones. It sounds like an oath. You step outside the office window and leave the office.
