Irwin Lionel
Background
Irwin Lionel was born in South Bend, Indiana in 1941. He was a member
of the 1957 championship high school basketball team from that city and
obtained a scholarship to the University of Chicago. He attended
Yale
and NYU for his postgraduate work in
biophysics and eventually obtained
a M.D.-Ph.D degree in 1979. He has numerous publications and is a
well-respected researcher.
Currently, Dr. Lionel is a consultant for FCI-Bellewether on cases
involving radically altered mutant physiology. He is also the lead
physician in the treatment of Lucas Heimden. He makes his home in
Atlanta, Georgia and visits the Castle regularly.
