In Nomine Characters

"If a man is not rising upward to be an angel, depend on it, he is sinking downward to be a devil." --- Samuel Taylor Coleridge

Player Characters

"For every man that Bolingbroke hath press'd
To lift shrewd steel against our golden crown,
God for his Richard hath in heavenly pay
A glorious angel: then, if angels fight,
Weak men must fall, for heaven still guards the right." --- William Shakespeare, Richard III
Rob Skipper is playing Reztiel (spelling to be corrected later), an Elohim of Michael, with an adequate Role as a college zoology student. Kim Applegate will be playing Santriel, a Malakite of Eli with a relatively powerful Role as an FBI agent named Severna Parks. Ryan Franklin will be playing Phadihel, an Ofanim of Marc with two vessels: a "psycho frisbee dog" and a scruffy driver ("Phil Wheeler") for either a cab company or a pizza delivery service (two very-low powered Roles.) Ryan Price will be playing a Soldier of Heaven itinerant street preacher and dream walker named Judah. Greg Kaczynski will be playing Todatamael, an Elohim of Gabriel with a fairly strong Role as a Hollywood talent agent named Domingo.

Non-Player Characters

From Last Time

I forgot a number of the names of the NPCs from last game. This is an "official retroactive rewriting" of the names.

Phil and Leo were the names of a Seraphim and a Cherubim of Blandine, unfamiliar with the ways of Earth, sent to Earth by Blandine to take over for the PCs with one prong of their investigation. They didn't have a Role or much experience at all with Earthly matters, and so sort of stumbled around without the PCs to let them know what to do.

[Picture of
goofy-looking guy]In this picture, Phil ponders the fate of Los Angeles and why human beings actually voluntarily eat hot dogs.
[Picture of other guy]In this picture, Leo tries to figure out exactly what's going on with this "rap" stuff.

[Picture of Chinese
philosopher]Li Yan was the name of the Ethereal spirit who had emigrated to Earth and started a cult. He was one of the powerful ancestor-spirits of ancient China, and his cult was a moderately ascetic version of Confucianism, operating out of Chinatown. It did manage to make a Soldier of Hell question his life enough to begin the long path towards redemption, so Heaven has decided to let it remain on Earth for now.

Click here for a transcript of a pamphlet the PCs found about the Temple.

[Picture of
mysterious man.]This mysterious man (a thug?), another refugee from the Marches, was on hand when Li Yan met with the player characters, though they learned nothing about him or his plans, if he has one. Neat colorization effect, huh?

This Time

[Picture of
smiling man]This fellow is Jasper, the 'case agent' for Ryan price's character Judah. Jasper is the main go-between between him and Blandine, Archangel of Dreams. He's a Malakim of Laurence.
