Background
Jeremy Estes was born in 1958 in West Virginia, to a police officer and
a firefighter. He attended the University of Southern California Law
School and graduated with top honors in 1983. He passed the California
bar exam in 1984.
After a one year appointment at the U.S.
Attorney's Office, he entered private practice with a specialty in
employment, criminal and civil rights litigation. Over the next few
years he quickly built a name for himself as an activist lawyer who
argued for extensions to the Civil Rights Act and the Fourteenth
Amendment to cover metahumans.
