Stuart Fleisher
Background
Stuart Fleisher, a high school dropout from Pontchatula, Louisiana,
completed his GED by mail in January 1996. He began his career with the
Louisiana Department of
Corrections shortly thereafter. Reportedly because of improved health
benefits, he joined the Federal Bureau of
Prisons as a correctional officer, where he was assigned to the Castle in 2000. He is divorced and has two
children. Several referrals for violence against prisoners have not been
substantiated.
