OPERATION INTENSE ANGEL
DELIMITED TENEBROUS BRIEFING 001
I. SITUATIONAL PROFILE - INTELLIGENCE SUMMARY
BACKLIGHT in conjunction with the National
Reconnaisance Office (NRO) has located a secret operational center
for the Sudombian Irregular Forces
(ISF).
The ISF, controlled by the Deneraran drug cartel, employs metahumans
and hypertechnological applications in order to dominate the drug trade
on the north coast of South America.
The hideout is located in the jungle-covered Makaparima Mountains south
of the coast, in the Upper Guanajay region near the wilderness border
with Brazil and Venezuela.
II. PRIMARY MISSION OBJECTIVE
Your mission is to destroy the physical resources of this enclave,
disrupt any operations, and eliminate any resistance.
III. SECONDARY MISSION OBJECTIVE
The purpose of the enclave is currently unknown. Documents or ELINT
may be on-site and should be obtained if possible.
IV. MISSION PARAMETERS
Care should be taken as only seventy-five miles away, to the north is a
prison camp controlled by the Sudombian government and staffed by the
regular Sudombian military. Avoid all contact with regular military
forces.
Anti-Deneraran mercenary forces backed by Venezuela have been active in
the area, according to satellite information. They are a potential asset
to this mission but should not be wasted as their eventual success is in
the interest of the U.S.
V. MATERIEL
A customized Boeing
Sikorsky RAH-66 Comanche armed reconnaissance helicopter outfitted
for covert insertion has been activated at Barksdale Air Force Base.
(Transport to Barksdale is arranged via helicopter from civilian
facilities in New Orleans.) The aircraft carrier USS
Theodore Roosevelt is currently deployed in the West Atlantic and
will provide refueling to the helicopter while the mission is in
progress.
One Single
Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS) for
communication via secure channels when pickup is required. An attachment
allowing interface
with computer systems has also been provided. The Sudombian military
monitors radio frequencies in the area and so radio silence is recommended
until extraction.
